dry powder is a reliable dry chemical extinguishing agent, approved for the
fire classes
- The
main effect of dry chemical extinguishing agents is the “anticatalytic”
effect which proves a very rapid knock-down of the fire. The powder forms a
melt on the burning solid, which inhibits the admission of oxygen. In gas
flames, reaction chains are inhibited by radical particles formed

is an appropriate dry chemical agent for portable and wheeled extinguishers.
- The flowability of the powder is maintained even after unsealed storage for 6 days in air at 80% humidity.
- Tests have shown that there is no deterioration in flowability if the powder is shaken in a portable extinguisher for 24h at 25 m/sec2. The residue in the extinguisher after this operation is within the tolerance of DIN 14 406.

amount of extinguishant discharge in a given time depends a great deal upon
the type and quality of the extinguishing appliance used.
